The Senate

The Senate of Canada.

Conservatives are changing their view on what should happen with The Senate.

Senator Richard Neufeld now favours an appointed Senate instead of an elected one. Another Harper Senate appointee, Pierre-Hugues Boisvenu, says he now favours a mix of appointees and elected senators.

Will Stephen Harper ask them to resign since they promised they'd support his changes for The Senate?

If they refuse to vote his way, will he kick them out of caucus?

I suspect that we will see more contrary views from Harper appointed senators. My feeling is that it is only a matter of time before some of them reject term limits.
